Above Ground Pool Landscaping Ideas.
Having an above ground swimming pool can certainly be a cheaper way of having a pool in your garden, but it may not exactly fit with the other lovely features of your landscaped garden.
Any landscaping ideas you may have will surely involve improving the appearance of the pool, and if a little serious thought is given there are several ways of doing this.
Place decking around the location of the pool, arrange it in such a manner that it allows for ease of access to the pool so that people can climb in and out safely. Decking can be placed at the level of the pool and constructed in such a manner to allow for seating and eating beneath the deck, and provide a decking ladder to be able to reach the higher level.
Quite often the exterior walls of the pool can be unattractive. Pay attention to the pool surrounds and plant a series of evergreen shrubs around the pool. This can be done easily by preparing compost and mulch beds around the immediate pool area and if supplemented with small, colorful flowers will tend to detract the eye from the pool walls.
If you use the pool as a center of entertainment during the summer months you may like to give thought to adding a small barbecue facility beneath the upper decking and perhaps have a table, and chairs handy, with even a small fridge to store food and keep drinks cold.
Around the outskirts of the pool consider planting some trees, they can shade the pool and act as a spoiler to direct sunlight. Select trees with large leaves which are not continually shed or else you will have a full time job skimming fallen leaves from the pools surface. When not in use it is a good idea to cover over the pool to prevent this kind of problem.
